Roland TR909

Possibly the most widely sought after drum machine in history, the Roland TR909 is a genuine classic machine.

Featuring distinctive sounds - including the instantly recognisable 'house' kick - and a deceptively simple but powerful programming interface, the 909 was also one of the few 'classic' drum machines to feature a MIDI interface.

Although sampled versions of the sounds are widely available, afficionadoes say that the real power of this box lies in the sequencer, with variable accents per instrument, plus flam and shuffle.

The sounds themselves are also tweakable, with variable tuning, attack and decay lending a variety to your rhythms that no sample CD can recreate.
